United Nations

The World Day of Social Justice through the United Nations focuses on achieving social justice through closing the inequalities gap. The site also contains some history on the International Labor Organization as well as some facts pertaining to employment.

Human Rights Watch

The Human Rights Watch works towards increasing and defends human rights by bringing attention to international issues. They aim to globally protect freedom, prevent discrimination, and inspire organizations and people.

NAACP

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is the nation’s largest civil rights organization. The website has several links and ways to engage within your community to help make a difference and promote equality. It also provides several ways to donate.

Equal Justice Initiative

The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) is built around giving equal rights to all. This website brings together their ideas so that everyone has the opportunity to educate themselves. The EJI has a museum and memorial built. If you would like to see these in person you can sign up through their website.

Race Forward

Race Forward fights for racial justice using modern thinking to help erase racial inequality. They advocate for racial justice through research on the social and economic impacts on race.

National Congress of American Indians

NCAI is a non-profit organization which aims to develop policies for tribal governments. It helps to represent Native Americans and provide resources, information, and events.

Petitions/Donations

White House Petitions

This website allows you to sign petitions that call on the White House to take action! One of the more popular petitions that you can sign for change is the “Justice for Breonna Taylor” petition. The further down you scroll, the more petitions you can view. (The ones at the top have been signed the most, so there are others that are equally as important further down. Be sure to check those out!)

Amnesty International

Amnesty International promotes social justice and keeps viewers updated about human rights developments; they also set up fundraisers and allow people to donate to certain issues. 

American Civil Liberties Union

The ACLU ensures citizens rights are protected and allows students to see what it’s like to be involved in social justice issues. Their mission is to “realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees.” The website has a lot of information about different social justice issues/topics.

Social Justice Resource Center

A website filled with different resources and articles centered around social justice. There are many different sections on the website, some discuss poverty and minimum wage, and others discuss religious intolerance and wage theft.

Racial Health Equity

Even during a pandemic, we can bring about change. You don’t have to be famous or rich to do your part for social justice. Read this article to see how you can start fighting for change.

Media Justice

MediaJustice is a website that provides petitions to sign and information on current social, racial and economic issues. There’s also a library with articles, vidoes, reports, etc. about how to communicate, media justice and technology, arts and cultures and how to build a movement.
